Grain Farmers of Ontario celebrates Ontario Agriculture Week with launch of “We Are Grain Farmers” video
Guelph, Ont. – October 7, 2025 – Grain Farmers of Ontario, the province’s largest commodity organization, representing Ontario’s 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean, and wheat farmers, in celebration of Ontario Agriculture Week, has launched a new video titled “We Are Grain Farmers,” a heartfelt tribute to the farm families who grow the grains that feed Ontario and the world.
The video shines a spotlight on the people, passion, and purpose behind Ontario’s grain farming industry. Told through the lens of a day in the life of a local Ontario grain farming family, it highlights the dedication, resilience, and pride that define the work of farmer-members.
“Grain farming isn’t just a job, it’s a way of life, a responsibility, and a promise to future generations,” says Crosby Devitt, CEO, Grain Farmers of Ontario. “This video is our way of saying thank you and recognizing the essential role our farmers play in every community across Ontario.”
Celebrating the people behind Ontario’s grains
From early mornings and long days in the field, to the unpredictable challenges of markets and weather, Ontario’s grain farmers face challenges with care and commitment. This video was created to instill pride among farmers, deepen public understanding of where our food comes from, and celebrate the essential role grain farmers play in their communities and across the province.
