Ontario Oat Day

This virtual webinar on Ontario oats is brought to you by Grain Farmers of Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Key discussion topics throughout the webinar will be on existing and future consumer demand for oats, research on pushing yields in Ontario, and a panel discussion featuring an agronomist and two end users who can share marketing opportunities.

Growing oats in Ontario has seen a decline since the 1950’s however there remains strong marketing opportunities for farmers interested in the crop. Oats grown for livestock feed and milling require different growing practices and an awareness of the unique specification markets may require.

To facilitate this webinar, Grain Farmers of Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs have worked with key partners throughout the consumer and grain value-chain to give farmers a full understanding of opportunities growing, and marketing oats.
