As mentioned in a press release from Grain Farmers of Ontario last week, Grain Farmers of Ontario is prepared to purchase grain baggers to assist in short term storage of corn for farmer-members.
Grain Farmers of Ontario feels these baggers will work best if they are situated beside a commercial elevator that has the capacity for weighing, drying, and storing these grain bags on property in close proximity.
Therefore, Grain Farmers of Ontario is seeking out interested grain companies or independent grain operators to cooperate in what Grain Farmers of Ontario considers a pilot project on the storage of this year’s corn crop. As harvest continues in Ontario, our organization is looking for a response by the end of the work day Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
